Community Involvement

·        Played Badminton in the Werribee Junior Badminton Association for ten years, played 3 years in the Werribee Junior Representative Squad.

·        Served as an altar boy at St Peter the Apostle Church for seven years.

·        Parishioner St Peter the Apostle and St James the Apostle Catholic Church at different times throughout Andrew’s life.

·        Member of the Hoppers Crossing Secondary College Student Representative Council 1991-1995

·        Participant in the Werribee Lions Club Youth of the Year Quest 1995.

·        Member of the Werribee Junior Badminton Association Committee two years.

·        Volunteer public relations work for Mambourin Enterprises one year.

·        Member Werribee Young Liberals and then Liberal Party of Australia (Victorian Division) for twenty five years. [No longer a member of the party].

·        Actively campaigned against the CSR Toxic Waste Dump from 1996-1998

·        Arts Representative, Geelong Association of Students 1998-1999

·        Member Altona Lodge, Freemasons Victoria almost twenty years, Master in 2009/10. Still a member.

·        Member, Rose Grange Residents' Association then Tarneit North Residents' Association

·        Coordinator Clean Up The Creek (Skeleton Creek) - Clean Up Australia Day

·        Member Werribee Football Club fourteen years and still going. Member of the Communications Committee for two years. Andrew joined in 1995 like thousands of others did to prevent Werribee FC being removed from the VFA.

·        Assisted in setup and pack-down of the St James Fete 2008-2022, (Andrew missed some years in here as well as 2023)

·        Participant Leukaemia Foundation World's Greatest Shave three times and twice for Light the Night. 

·        Member Wyndham Biznet 2010-2014

·        Member Australasian Study of Parliament Group Victorian Chapter 2010 to 2014 (Committee member 2013 – 2014)

·        Member, Werribee Mercy Hospital Critical Care Unit Community Fundraising Committee, 2016-2017

·        President (Inaugural) Wyndham Brickfest [Holding an annual Lego based display which raises funds for children’s health initiatives in the city of Wyndham, $11,000 has been donated to Mercy Health and Wyndham Health Foundation to date] 2019 to now

·        Established Woodville Resident’s Facebook Group as a way to unite the community during Covid19 and care for those who needed assistance] 2020 to 2022

·        Actively involved in the campaign against the proposal for Transurban’s Toxic Soil being “stored” in Wyndham Vale 2020-2022 and still keeping an eye open.

·        Admin Neighbourhood Watch Hoppers Crossing 2021 to now [Seeking someone to replace him]

·        Administrator of the Mossfiel Residents Facebook Group 2020 to now

·        Established The Grange Residents Facebook Group 2022 to now.

·        Recipient 2022 Lalor Hero Award from Joanne Ryan MP, Federal Member for Lalor

·        President, Hoppers Crossing Soccer Club 2022 to now.

Andrew has supported many charities in this instance Andrew is receiving a certificate from the Leukemia Foundation. 

Andrew Is proud of the work he has done in the community and was surprised to have been presented a Lalor Hero Award by the Member for Lalor Joanne Ryan MP.
